SETTING NOTES

• Most of the country's monies is allotted to improving the Capital-- the place the Royals live. Thus it's a pretty hot metropolis, especially compared to everywhere else.
  
• The main city/headquarters is very big and seemingly built around an incredibly extensive subway system. There are thus a great many lines and highways that jut in and out of dome-rooved buildings. 
  
• Although the architecture seems antiquated (domes and spiral towers!), it is very clean and most of the technology is very slick and very smooth. For example, there are holographic digital clocks at every station and massive TV screens, and fast food areas with neon-signs. The trains themselves hover, so the ground is kept completely scratch free, as well!
  
  Basically it's an old, well-maintained city that has been hollowed out for new techology yeah *___*
  
• It's rather cold, and naturally darker than average, but most of the world is lit up by blue artificial lights...!
  
• The less developed/more rural parts of the country are infrequently visited by trains. LMAO SOMETIMES ROYALS FORGET THESE AREAS EXIST...

OVERREACHING PLOT

• Most of the world has been completely conquered by a certain Royal family. Using its elite merit-based military, this highly-extended family (headed by one King) maintains power in the country*~**
  
• And then, one day, their King gets assassinated...!! Oh no!! 
  
• So, in panic, the rest of the royal family rallies its army in an attempt to snuff out the assassin and terrorize the commoners yes.
  
• So there are three total substories involved: what is happening currently in the military and to the commoners, the conquering of new territory, and Royal family's internal strife in crowning its new leader...!! K-kya!!

ROYAL FAMILY INFORMATION.

• Because this is a (mostly) merit-based world, the position of King is open to all genders and all members with any trace of royal-blood. Royal candidates must go through a series of ordeals, in order to become King!
  
• When a King dies, a loud and temporary beeping goes off in the heads of royals present in the Capitol, and their left eyes glow. When a candidate has been eliminated or fails a task, the light goes out.
  
• At the end, the four top candidates meet before a council of elders (and one lottery selected commoner). The candidate that garners the most council support/recognition becomes King!!! Yeah!!
  
• OFC THERE IS CORRUPTION AND BADSHIT HAPPENING BEHIND THE SCENES LMAO AAAA.
  
• Different royals tend to have more connections in various parts of the gvmt!!! The more connections and power, the better!!!
  
• Assassinations are pretty commonplace LMAO JESUS CHRIST.

MILITARY INFORMATION

• Like the Royal family, the Military is also mostly based on a merit system. Thus, even those with blueblood must work hard in order to maintain their positions!
